Upfront embodied carbon

Upfront Carbon” emissions are the Greenhouse Gases emissions associated with materials production and construction phases (Modules A1- A5) of the lifecycle before the building or infrastructure is occupied. The upfront carbon will be responsible for half of the entire carbon footprint of new construction between now and 2050, threatening to consume a large part of remaining carbon budget.

Gleeds’ Carbon & Cost assessment

Buildings generate nearly 40% of annual global CO2 emissions. The global building stock is expected to double in size. Gleeds’ tool aims to assist the construction industry to compare design optimization options and benchmark the projects with RIBA & LETI targets at an early stage for Carbon and provides the cost.

Your value additions

Calculation of Embodied carbon upfront at every design stage, gives the ability to target carbon reductions through material selection, specification, efficiency & reuse. Helps to calculate the carbon & cost in a consistent and robust way to make meaningful carbon comparisons between designs. The urgent need to go further and faster requires a new response and new vision for the construction sector to improve wider lifecycle environmental impacts.
